Appointments

We offer a wide range of appointments with our Healthcare Team. An appointment may not be necessary so please check your condition below to see whether a pharmacy or self-care may be most appropriate.

For all our appointments, our reception team will ask you some brief details about the problem so that they can ensure that you are booked to see the right member of our team at the right time.

The appointment you are offered will depend on the nature of your issue and might be a telephone appointment or an in-person appointment and may be with one of our GPs, Nurses, Paramedics, Pharmacist or Physiotherapist

Check your condition first

Many conditions can be treated without the need to see your GP.

Pharmacy & Self-Care

Pharmacy

Pharmacists are qualified healthcare professionals who can offer clinical advice, over the counter medicines to effectively and safely manage a range of minor health concerns. They can also help you to decide whether you'll need to see a doctor. You don't need an appointment and you won't even be asked to make a purchase. Every pharmacy also has a private consultation area for you to talk about your symptoms in private if you prefer.

Appointments: Routine and Urgent

We offer both jn-person and telephone appointments with our team including our GPs, Nurses, Physiotherapist, Pharmacist and Paramedics.

You can request an appointment to see one of our Healthcare Team by:

Routine GP Appointments are usually 10 minutes long, but if you have more than one issue please book a double appointment. We encourage you to try and see or speak to your usual GP for continuity.

If you are requesting a more urgent appointment than the next routine appointment available then your request will be reviewed on the day by our Triage Team and you will be contacted either by phone or text message with an appointment with one of our Healthcare Team, which may be on the same-day or on a later date.

Sickness Certificates (Fit Notes)

You must give your employer a doctor's 'fit note' (sometimes called a 'sick note') if you've been ill for more than 7 days in a row and have taken sick leave. This includes non-working days, such as weekends and bank holidays.

Home Visits

Home visits are for emergencies or for those who are housebound. The doctors cannot visit those who are well enough to attend or can be brought to the surgery.

Most of our visits are undertaken by the Primary Care Visiting Service (PCVS) which is usually a visiting Paramedic Practitioner.

If you are in need of a home visit please request this as early in the day as possible so that it can be arranged in good time.
